My journey began at eight years old, quietly following behind a photographer and minister at my local church. While others saw someone taking photographs, I witnessed something much greater. I watched memories being preserved, families creating heirlooms, and stories that would one day become priceless because time could never recreate them.

 

From that moment forward, I knew photographs carried a purpose beyond the frame.

 

Years later, during my senior year of college, I realized photography was never simply something I enjoyed. It was my calling. Not because of recognition or financial success, but because I found genuine joy in celebrating people, preserving their milestones, and creating images that would become part of their family's story for generations.

 

In March 2019, Kandi Kam Photography was established through faith.

 

There was no elaborate business strategy. No defining client that launched my career. There was simply a moment of obedience. After feeling God call me to move forward, I built my business, developed the experience I wanted every client to have, and trusted Him with the rest.

 

That step of faith became the foundation for everything Kandi Kam Photography is today.

 

Since then, I have had the privilege of documenting more than 300 sessions, photographing over 20 weddings, and serving families, entrepreneurs, artists, graduates, businesses, schools, public figures, and luxury brands throughout Alabama, Georgia, and destinations beyond. My work has been featured in more than 300 publications, but my greatest accomplishment has never been recognition.

 

It has always been the relationships.

 

Many of my clients first discovered my work years before they ever reached out. Today, they return through every chapter of life, trusting me to preserve the moments that matter most. What begins as a photography experience often becomes something much more meaningful.

 

They become family.

 

That has always been the heart of Kandi Kam Photography.
