Preparing for a photoshoot can be tedious and stressful. We are here to assist you and make sure that you have the best experience possible throughout this process. Clothing can make or break a photo, that's why it's important to take time and choose outfits that will make you look amazing. No, you do not have to purchase new clothes to make a photo look great, it's all about the outfit you choose. The outfit can be new or old, just make sure the outfit compliments your personality.


Here are some suggestions to make this process easier:

  • Avoid clothing with graphics or large logos.

  • Colors tend to photograph the best [avoid solid black or solid white].

  • If there will be multiple people in a photo session, try to develop a color scheme. Try to have each person wear one of the colors in the scheme so that the outfits blend versus matching.

  • Mix and match patterns and textures. Remember, layers and accessories add visual interest.

  • If you wear layers, you're able to get different looks in your image without having to do a full outfit change.

  •  Ladies, it's important to make sure that your makeup and outfit compliments each other. Ladies,


We recommend that you bring bobby pins and safety pins to your session (in case the wind is blowing or an outfit is too big). 

choosing a location

As a photographer, I strive to tell the story of my clients. I want to make this moment special for everyone involved with the session. When choosing your location, make sure that you have an open mind. Think outside of the box. When you are choosing your location for your photoshoot, please keep these questions in mind:

  • What makes you happy?

  • Who are you with? (If it's multiple people in the photo)

  • What are you going to be doing?


Those are the moments that I want to capture. I want to capture your happiness. I want to capture your smiles and laughter. That's why it's important to capture you and everyone included in this session in a place where it's a place of peace. I would love to help you come up with a fun location idea for your session!

what to bring

You are allowed to bring props to your session. If you have seen something in a photo on Pinterest, etc and you want the same effect, please bring it.

I recommend that you bring a body moisturizer, hair accessories, make-up kits (for quick fixes), lip moisturizers, sunglasses (to prevent the sun being in your eyes between shots), and loose fitted undergarments.


I recommend for maternity and newborn sessions, you bring items such as ultrasound printouts, alphabet blocks that spell out your babies name, baby shoes, stuffed animals, flowers, etc.


Lastly, I recommend always bringing that one friend that will HYPE you up. You want to bring someone that is energetic and don't mind assisting in making sure that you look PERFECT!

travel fee

As a photographer, I strive to make my clients vision come true. We are able to travel all over the country, but traveling does cost. If you would like us to travel to your location, there is an additional fee. This fee is contingent upon your location.


If your session is less than five (5) hours away from our location, your fee will be calculated based off of mileage and gas to the location.


If your session is more than five (5) hours away from our location, your fee will be calculated based off of mileage, gas, and hotel/flight cost. This information will be calculated in your invoice.


In order to secure your session date and time, a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is REQUIRED. The remaining balance will be paid prior to the day of service. You will receive an email detailing your invoice and important information.

PAYMENT Information 

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. If you would like to write a check, please write for the "pay to" information: Kadijah Oliver. We do accept payments via Cash App and PayPal. If you would like to pay in cash we can schedule that payment prior to your session. 


Please allow us twenty-eight (28) BUSINESS days to finalize your images and orders. You will receive a confirmation email with the deadline for your images.

Cancellation policy

All deposit fees are non-refundable. A minimum of three (3) days’ notice will be required for cancellation of the appointment. Any cancellation made within less than three (3) days prior to the agreed upon service date will result in full payment. If the cancellation is initiated by Kandi Kam Photography, all monies paid to Kandi Kam Photography from the client listed shall be fully refunded, including the deposit fee. Refund shall be paid out within thirty (30) business days from the cancellation date.
